Two new records were established on day two of the Short Course National Swimming Championship 2011 held at the Hillwood swimming pool in Kandy. The two records were broken by the two teams holding the previous record.
The first record to be shattered was in the Men’s 4-50 metre Medley Relay event by Navy who set a time of 1.53.34 seconds to eclipse their own record of 1.54,67 seconds which they set last year.
The second record to be established was in the Men’s 4-200 Freestyle Relay where Trinity College Kandy set a new record of 8.28.83 seconds erasing their record of 8.37.75 which they set in 2007. Today is the final day of the meet.
